If you don't know by now, I'm Abby!

Hey there! You've made your way to find out more about me. I'm a 20-something born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from Weber State University (Ogden, Utah) in 2018.

Some fun facts about me: I've been to *almost* all 50. states; I traveled to South Africa in 2017 where I did a wildlife photography internship for a month; I'm a pescatarian; My favorite TV show (hands down) is The Office; I'm also a musician and have my original songs on all the major music-streaming platforms.

I love photography because it allows us to "freeze" moments of our existence (and it's truly the only way we can stop time). People in photographs are destined to change, but how they were at that specific second will always remain, and I find that incredibly beautiful.

How is pricing determined?

I do my best to give you a product that you will love and cherish for the rest of your life - it's a memory you will always get to look back on. Therefore, my pricing reflects the effort that I am putting into the session. That includes time spent taking photos and time editing.

Who owns the photographs?

All photographs are copyrighted to me, Abby Van Ess. You, the client, have unlimited rights to use them how you wish (i.e. prints, social media posts), so long as they are used for good intent.

What are your requirements for social media?

All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due!

Instagram: Feel free to "tag" my account (@abbyvephoto) on the actual photo, or if you want to include my account name in the caption, that is fine, too. Please do not put a filter over my photo. I realize that your account may have a "theme" or a brand, but my photographs and how I edit them are my brand, and I would love for people to see them as they were intended to be.
